Spiritual Emphasis Day #2

"Our second Spiritual Emphasis Day continued the theme of 'No Fear' with this big point: As we release fear, we can receive good from God. We were fortunate to have Max and Rhen Dempsey from GAR North in Roscoe use their trampoline skills to demonstrate how releasing fear builds skills in their sport, while also sharing their testimonies of journeying with Jesus away from fear.

"I was incredibly proud of our Spiritual Life Team who took huge steps up in their leadership for SED 2. They created ideas for breakouts in middle school connections classes where students made prayer and courage boards to use at home for prayer. Members of our team also led prayer walks across the campus for freshmen and sophomores, while others led discussion panels for seniors and juniors with Dr. Duda (girls) and Mr. Fleischer (guys). They heard about life experiences from someone ahead of them, while keying in on specific scriptures. I didn't step into any of these breakouts to allow them complete ownership, and they owned it!

"As we move to one school on one campus next year, I am confident that this exciting new approach to spiritual emphasis will benefit all students across all grades. It is truly supporting our mission to cultivate biblically-minded students who serve God to their greatest potential and impact the world for Christ!"

- Heath Tibbetts, Head of Spiritual Life
