All extended care supervisors are instructed to enforce the program rules.
Expectations: The Bible provides sound principles regarding behavior and human relationships. Through the extended care program at RCS, we want to provide an environment that is safe and enjoyable for the participating children. In order for this to take place, expectations have been established to ensure a quality program.
Extended care students are expected to be TRUSTWORTHY, HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, KIND, OBEDIENT, CHEERFUL, and COURTEOUS.
If a child chooses to disregard or step outside of these expectations, consequences will be assigned.
At the supervisor’s discretion, demerits may be issued after verbal warnings.
If poor behavior continues, the student may be sent to administration. Parents/guardians will be informed of behavior issues.
Any student wanting to watch a home game must report to extended care until the game starts. He/she must have written permission to leave extended care at that time.
The program concludes at 5:30 p.m. sharp. Pick-ups after this time will be surcharged at a rate of double the increment fees.
Parents/guardians need to sign out their students every day. A full-day rate will be charged should this not occur.
In the event of an emergency, program supervisors are authorized to act on your behalf should you be unavailable and/or cannot be located.
If a student is an athlete waiting for the start of a home sporting event, he/she is to report to extended care until the coach arrives on campus. Typically this is ½ hour before the start of the game.
Athletes who finish practice and are still on campus after 15 minutes will be sent to extended care.
