The extended care program at Rockford Christian School is an additional pay program made available for those students who need care before school and/or after the school day ends. Before Care begins at 7:00 a.m. and After Care goes until 6:00 p.m. The fee is $5 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments. Families are only billed for the time used.
The goal is to serve RCS families by providing a safe, fun and enjoyable place for PreK - grade 5 children to play, study, and grow.
PreK/Jr.Kdg/Kdg. afternoon schedule
2:45-3:30 Check-in, play time, snack
3:30-4:15 Group activities and stations
4:15-6:00 Play time, Group/Individual activities
Grades 1-5 afternoon schedule
2:50-3:45 Check-in, play time, snack
3:45-4:15 Study time (reading, homework, etc.)
4:15-6:00 Play time, Group/Individual activities
PROGRAM GUIDELINES
- RCS Extended Care emergency form must be completed prior to using the program.
- If a student knows he/she is to report to the extended care program, he/she must do so immediately after school.
- Children planning on going to extended care should not be wandering the halls or playing on the playground after school. Any child who has not been picked up 15 minutes after dismissal time must report to extended care.
- Extended care concludes every day at 6:00 p.m. Late pick-ups after this time are charged a rate of double the increment fees. Parents must sign their children out every day. A full day rate will be charged should this not occur.
- Program supervisors are authorized to act on your behalf should you be unavailable due to an emergency and cannot be located.
- Whoever is authorized to pick-up a student, should check the “Location Chart” for the location of each grade level.
