Each year in the fall the high school students put on a play that they lead, cast, direct and produce themselves with the help of their drama coach. In the spring the drama team joins with the band and choir to perform a classical musical. There is also an art show in conjuction with the musical. Click here for highlights of a recent fall play Click here for highlights from Fiddler On The Roof In Grade 5 drama students enjoy pantomime and "improv" games as they develop skills of verbal and nonverbal communication. Their drama vocabulary grows, and they increase their understanding of the structure and function of a theatre through a field trip to the Coronado Theatre. Drama students are involved in ministry through skits presented during chapel and in a program at the Rockford Rescue Mission where God can use their gifts and skills to impact the lives of others. They also participate in a spring program for their families and friends. |
