Graduation Requirements |
This is a total of 52 credits. One credit is given for each full time semester class. Please note the following college requirements. Colleges/Universities are increasing their admission requirements, and leaders of business and industry are concerned about the academic preparation of those entering the work force. The faculty and administration of RCHS expect all students to enroll in a minimum of six or more courses during each year of high school. Institutions of higher learning report a direct correlation between academic success at the university and the maintenance of a rigorous course of study during the senior year of study.

Spiritual Emphasis Week |
Spiritual Emphasis Week is a special week of Two A Days. It's a one week event each school year where we bring in guest speakers that meet with the kids twice a day for the entire week to challenge them to a closer walk with God and how they live life. As well, we have a fun time as students divide into differnt color teams and practice teamwork thru games and exersizes. This year our special speaker was Greg Speck. After Greg challenged the kids they had a great time with team building games and exersizes. Here are some highlights from the week.

Student Policy Handbook |
In order to do our part to be more green and to minimize the amount of paper we go through we are putting the Student Policy Handbook on our website. The handbook is in PDF format so you will need Adobe Reader loaded on your computer to view it. At the end of the handbook is the student code of conduct and pledge which each student and parent has to sign. This signature page will be handed out the first day of school and needs to be signed and returned to school by September 4th. If you have any problems viewing the handbook, please contact the office. Click here to view the handbook. |

Chapel |
Weekly chapel is an exciting upbeat time when students are challenged and encouraged in their Christian walk. Quality speakers from both local and national ministries come to share with the students. This is a time when students sing about their faith and when unity and focus are strengthened. Students are challenged to have a close and intimate walk with God and with each other. They are challenged to reach out and demonstrate Christs love not only to each other, but also to the community. Each year we have a special week set aside in the spring called Spiritual Emphasis Week where chapel meets every day for an extended period so students can get in touch with God and with their peers and grow closer together.

High School Parking Lot Traffic Flow |
Please note the new signs that have been placed around the high school parking lot. By order of the Rockford Fire Department, these signs are there to inform you of the areas that are not to be used for parking. Also note that if you park in one of these areas, you may be ticketed, and that Rockford Christian cannot be held responsible for these violations. A map has been provided here showing our requested traffic flow for student dropoffs and the no parking fires lanes marked in red as dictated by the fire department.
