RCS Board of Directors announces new Head of School

Welcome Mrs. DudaFriday, February 18, 2022 - Rockford, IL: Rockford Christian Schools is pleased to announce:
Since mid-summer, the Rockford Christian School’s Board of Directors has been engaging in an extensive, nationwide search for the next Head of School. The Board of Directors is incredibly pleased to introduce Jahna Duda as the next Head of School at Rockford Christian Schools.
Mrs. Duda will succeed Superintendent Paul Brandt in July 2022. Mrs. Duda was unanimously recommended by the Head of School Search Committee to the Board of Directors which unanimously approved her appointment. Jahna is an experienced leader in Christian education who we are confident is well-equipped to position Rockford Christian Schools for long-term success.

Mrs. Duda began her career in Christian education 21 years ago and is currently serving as the Senior Director of Academics at Des Moines Christian School where she oversees EE-12 academic programming. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in mathematics and a master's degree in educational leadership. Jahna will complete her Ph.D. in education this summer through Drake University when she defends her dissertation focused on adolescent purpose as related to mental health issues.

“I am honored to serve as the new head of school and continue the great work of kingdom education happening at Rockford Christian. Bret and I are excited to join your school community, and can’t wait to see what the Lord has planned for the next chapter in the school’s story.” - Jahna Duda
“God’s hand has been evident at each stage of the search process, and we are encouraged to see what He will do through Jahna in the coming years as we build on Rockford Christian's commitment to Christ, community, and excellence” states HOS search committee chair, Gary Love.
We are deeply appreciative to Paul Brandt and his wife Susan for their faithful service and dedication to Rockford Christian Schools over these past 4 years. Superintendent Brandt will continue to lead RCS through the end of June.
